In the Northwestern part of Mallorca we find Pollença and Port de Pollença, which is where we should head to if we want to visit this amazing viewpoint overlooking the Mediterranean sea. After getting to Port de Pollença, we should then follow signs for Formentor and stop at the little car park available as the views get considerably nicer.
This is the Mirador Es Colomer, as the little island you can see in the background receives the same name. It is a stunning and dramatic place, as Mallorca abruptly finishes here and leaves way to the vast sea ahead of us. Thanks to Mallorca’s blue skies, we can enjoy superb colours and relaxation, as there is usually a man playing chill-out tunes with his guitar at the site.
I also recommend visiting this beautiful place closer to sunset, as the views can get even better and the colours absolutely charming. Not a lot of people know about this place as it is far from the capital, Palma, but it is worth a visit. Furthermore, to make the most of your trip here, you can master your visit to this part of the island by spending the day at the nearby Playa Formentor, which is one of my favourite crystal clear water beaches.
I’ve been there! It’s an stunning place.

It really is! Even if I am from Palma, I cannot believe I had never been there until last month! It must be even better if you visit it during sunset!

Hello Aart! Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the guitarist at the Mirador Es Colomer, but I will have a look through my photos in case there are any hints and I will keep an eye for you if I go back soon and will let you know! I am sorry to hear you lost his CD!
